My Mom endured years of dreaming about snakes, all the while they were showing up everywhere - literally - in her waking life. They appeared on sidewalks, next to trails, in lawns, until she had a heart-to-heart talk with one next to a lake one day and that was it, no more snake dreams. Now instead of fearing them, she considers those snakes messengers. More on that story later…
Biblically speaking, snakes are portrayed as evil, and that still carries through, thousands of years later for some. In other cultures, however, snakes are a powerful talisman for healers and represent deep and transformative healing. I prefer to see snakes through this lens.
I had a close call with a rattle snake when I was 8 or 9 and for years afterward had dreams of spiraling downward in a giant pit knowing their was a rattle snake down there somewhere, but not where exactly. Lots of terrifying gliding downward, dark earth around me, the snake somewhere below.
horses, dogs, and bunnies but no snakes [to date!].
but I'll keep my eyes closed and let you know, girl. i'm curious how one might show up!
