For me, Animals. Bears roamed my dreams and dominated for an entire decade. Then, it was birds for a while. Deer, wolves, porcupines, raccoons, giant crazy spiders, snakes, cats, dogs, a pig once, and horses, lots of horses, have run through my dreams. Was I an animal in a previous life? Or maybe I’m prepping to be one in the next :) More likely, I dream of animals because I love animals, and have a serious soft-spot for them. Except for the creepy giant crazy spider… that thing scared the crap out of me. In the dream, if I could have gotten my shoe over it, I would have squished it. Seriously, I would have.
Images have varied throughout my life, but family members are the most common image. Children especially that I'm always trying to keep safe. That's usually when I'm worried about things. Trees and rivers, scary houses on steep mountains with waves lashing at the rocks below.
That makes perfect sense, dreaming kids you're trying to protect. Oooo, scary houses - I've had a few of those too. I wonder what it means when they are on steep hillsides. Did the steep mountains mean something specific to you?
Ha! Hybrids - that would be interesting! Bodies of water seem to be a very consistent image/symbol across the board. I've had big ocean dreams since I was a wee kid. Thanks for sharing!
